Mercy Academic Officers and Mercy Presidents Meet
The Conference for Mercy Higher Education will host two special sessions alongside the annual pre-conference workshop hosted by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) in Washington, DC. Each year the Presidents’ Council meets for an
opportunity to share and dialogue about campus events and administrative decision making through our shared Mercy, Catholic identity, as well as receiving reports and updates from CMHE and the Institute Leadership Team of the Sisters of Mercy.
This year, CMHE has secured a grant made possible by the Council of Independent Colleges and Lilly Endowments Inc. to support an in- person workshop – Mercy Meets the Moment – for Mercy VPAAs/Provosts. Dr. Jason King will present on how Catholic Social
Teaching (CST), a foundational element of who we are as Catholic colleges and universities, can be infused into the academic decision-making and the curriculum. The workshop will foster discussions about how CST is a vital component of who we are and how it can be practically applied in our academic work.
