Saint Xavier Welcomes 22nd President

Saint Xavier University celebrated the investiture of its 22nd president Dr. Keith Elder on
October 2, 2025 in Chicago. Sister Joy Clough, RSM, represented the Institute
Leadership Team to mission Dr. Elder. Conference for Mercy Higher Education
Executive Director Dr. Julia Cavallo welcomed Dr. Elder on behalf of CMHE and
celebrated the reaffirmation of the Mercy Higher Education Covenant. Cardinal Blase J.
Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, delivered the invocation.
